Danyelle is an AmeriCorps member serving Tacoma Farmers Market as the Fresh Express Mobile Farmers Market VISTA in Washington. Her service will help to bring fresh fruit and vegetables to low-income communities where individuals and families can utilize the SNAP EBT incentive program. Her goal will be to help alleviate poverty in Pierce County.

Danyelle was born and raised in Washington. She attends the University of Washington in Tacoma and is seeking a degree in Social Welfare. Having personally experienced poverty, she knows first-hand how it feels to struggle for basic needs. Her education has helped to strengthen her belief that every person deserves access to fresh and nutritious food and serving with Tacoma Farmers Market (TFM) will be a great opportunity to give back to the community that assisted her when times were hard. TFM, with the help of local farms, small businesses, and organizations will bring this much needed resource directly to the community.
